Ocultan was formed in autumn 1995 by Count Imperium, Cerebus and Lord Faust. In June 96 they released a rehearsal tape called "Eternus Malus" and six months after that came out the demo tape "Regnus ad Exus". They got great criticisms from the real Black Metal underground,
and so in 1998 they got the invitation from Evil Horde Rec to
release their debut CD "Belicus Profanus"
which came out in september/99, bringing a fast, raw and still
melodic Black Metal. Now comes their second album called "Lembranças do Mal, a Crucificação" (Remembrances of Evil, the Crucifixion). This album shows a more mature band and confirm that the changes in the line-uo came for better with an EXTREME BLACK METAL music. "We believe and practice the real essence of darkness, the reality, the true Evil Power; not simple philosophies left by human beings that are just like us." "The name Exu (demon) don't represent order and harmony, it represents only misfortune." |
