Created by Surgath in the winter of 1995, the extreme and polemic
GREAT VAST FOREST brings its own style:
Barbarian Black Metal
This horde came to perpetuate the pagan strength and the ancient
warriors' pride.
After many rehearsals and some live presentation throught the
South of Brazil...
In 1998 they entered studio to record the material that would
be their official demo tape, entittled "Where the Warriors
Ride...", which had a great response from the world Black Metal
scene due to its originality.
At the end of 2000, they signed a contract deal of two albums
with Evil Horde Records. From this partnership came the debut
album:
"Battletales and Songs of Steel"
"Great Vast Forest is the pagan fury spreading the extreme
hatred and crashing the judeo-christianity... Increasing the pride
of the ancient warriors with blood and honnor..." (Surgath)
