At first, Unholy Land was born as a personal project of AREN in November 1998.The material's power was a determinant element for the choice to put aside the "one-man-band" project which started with an electronic drum, an unbecoming element for the sound. So, it was the arrival of KLEUDDE at guitar and Lord SERBER at drums, definitively consecrating "Unholy Land" as a true black metal band. Four months later, in two days they recorded their first demo-tape entitled Unholy Land and they gained good answers from magazines, fanzines, people, and a contract with the Northern Darkness Records. With a new member called MORNAK, at the second guitar, in February 2000 they entered into Dracma Studios and in five days they recorded and mixed "The Fall Of Chosen Star...". Unfortunately the decision to sign with Northern Darkness Records was a big mistake, in fact the album didn't see the light because, after one year, the unqualified boss of above said discography label, decided to close the same label. So, all the musical and graphical material returned in the hands of the band, and only after a month since the failure of the above said label, the band found what was looking for in the EVIL HORDE REC. that is a stable label managed from competent persons and really involved in what they make, with which to establish a perfect work-planning. So the long waiting is to the term since towards April 2003 the cd is ready and put in to the world-wide commerce. In the meantime new powerful material takes life to complete the blasphemous second chapter... "IN THE UNHOLY NAME OF EVIL GOD, I DAMN YOU." Aren |
